Freelance Singer

Posted in ,
Singing is the act of producing musical sounds with the voice, and augments regular speech by the use of both tonality and rhythm. One who sings is called a singer or vocalist. Singers perform music (such as Arias, Recitatives or Songs) that can be sung either with or without accompaniment by musical instruments. Singing is often done in a group of other musicians, such as in a choir of singers with different voice ranges, or in an ensemble with instrumentalists, such as a rock group or baroque ensemble. As in many respects human song is a form of sustained speech, nearly anyone able to speak can also sing. Singing can be formal or informal, arranged or improvised. It may be done for pleasure, comfort, ritual, education, or profit. Excellence in singing may require time, dedication, instruction, and regular practice. If practice is done on a regular basis then the sounds are said to be more clear and strong. Professional singers usually build their careers around one specific musical genre, such as classical or rock. They typically take voice training provided by voice teachers or vocal coaches throughout their careers.

When it comes to India most vocalist start their career as a freelancer. When I was checking the list of freelancers in my region, it was Anelesh kumar who popped out. He is a mechanical engineering student at Sri Shakthi Institute and a freelance singer who turned into a professional by grabbing all the potential offers at his reach. According to him "Music is the thing which u cant see
but u can feel,it..."

Behind every successful combustion there is an initial spark which triggers it. Likewise am curious to knew the initial spark behind Anelesh kumar. He said "At first I used to simply sing inside my home whenever i get bored. My room always vibrates due to the bass effect from my speakers.." And I actually missed to ask his experience of bathroom singing. To be honest that's the place were most singers are born.

So far I do knew that Anelesh kumar is an amateur singer who have witnessed his potential and awaiting some opportunities. He said "I sung in the NSS camp during my second year of my college life. I sung two songs both from ILAYA RAJA sir's musical feat which was my first public singing. It was a huge step in my musical carrier. And I also got a great response from the audience.
That small appreciation boosted my confidence which eventually made me to participate in my inter-college singing competition and I happen to won 1st prize. That was the time I realized my dedication to music is being honoured. Later I happen to present myself for some stage shows. And by seeing my perfomances and dedication to music, I was offered a chance by Udhay kumar. He called me to work in his telefilm which gave me a different experience in my career. That promoted me as a proffesional singer." I would say that Anelesh kumar has utilized his opportunities. But did he stop? Nope. He started working on his second project which is actually a short film by Guys creativity. I also asked his other regions of work. He said "Besides singing I also write song lyrics and play a little of keyboard and compose a music of my desire"

One thing I learnt from Anelesh kumar is that he has beautifully structured his career path. He didn't have any distractions/diversions. His final statement was "My wish is to start/join a music troop and work as a vocalist and to rock on the stages.A lot to go.This is just the beginning.Hope my songs will be in touch with you forever." Well I do love to see that happen.
